Dear Members of the Tulane Hillel Community,
It is with sadness and gratitude that we announce Rabbi Yonah Schiller’s final year as the Executive Director of Tulane Hillel. While we will certainly miss Yonah and his inspiring leadership, we wish him all the best in his new role as the Chief R&D Officer for the Jim Joseph Foundation at the conclusion of our fiscal year, June 30, 2020.
Over the past 11 years, we have had the incredible honor to have Yonah serve in this leadership role within the nation’s fastest growing Hillel. Through his hard work and ambitious vision, we have experienced and witnessed spectacular change, transformation, and impact as an organization and community. Under his direction, Tulane Hillel has clearly become the gold standard for Hillels nationwide. For additional details on Yonah’s impact, please click here.
As Yonah’s tenure comes to an end, the search for Tulane Hillel’s new Executive Director will begin formally in the coming weeks. Our search committee, led by our former Board Chairman Kevin Wilkins, will work in tandem with Hillel International with a goal to hire new leadership by this coming May. We anticipate that this will be a position of great interest to many, as Tulane Hillel has never been stronger or more vibrant. If you would like to contact Kevin regarding the Executive Director search, he can be reached at kevin@trepwise.com.
On behalf of everyone at Tulane Hillel, the Greater New Orleans area, and the local Jewish community, we want to thank Yonah for his years of dedicated service, his significant accomplishments, and wish him every success as he begins this new and exciting chapter. Thank you, Yonah, for all you have done.
Very best regards,
The Honorable Steve Stern
Chairman
Tulane Hillel Board of Directors
