Sarah Douglas Thompson

Sarah Douglas’ embroidery started off as a quarantine hobby. It was a relaxing way for her to upcycle old clothes by reuse materials she already had, such as her grandmother’s hand-me-down sewing supplies. The environmental harms of the fashion industry have always been an important issue to Sarah Douglas,, so she prioritized using as many secondhand materials as possible. All of her pieces are secondhand, and even her thread is thrifted! Sarah Douglas realized that she could grow her hobby as well as promote her passions for environmental sustainability and entrepreneurship, so she decided to start this little eco-friendly side venture that allows her to bring new life to garments that would have otherwise ended up in landfill. 30% of her proceeds will benefit Glass Half Full.
