Q&A with Amit David, Israel Fellow
What’s your favorite part about NOLA & Tulane so far?
The people! Everywhere I go, people are so nice and just smile at you and say hey. For me, a smile and small talk can change the entire day for the best.
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?
Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She was powerful, a fighter, a change-maker, and a one-of-kind woman.
What’s your favorite Israeli activity?
We called it Pakal Cafe trip. So, basically we travel to different places in the Israeli nature, find the most beautiful spot, and make some coffee with our special kits (aka Pakal Cafe). Then we just enjoy the moment and appreciate the view.
Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
Probably London. I really like the European culture. I love the cold and fresh air, and there’s a lot of art and history that I find really interesting.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
How to skydive by myself.
What are 3 words you’d use to describe Tulane Hillel?
Community. Diversity. Caring.
What’s your favorite hobby?
I really love to play the guitar and write songs.
What is the first concert you attended?
The Idan Raichel Project – he is one of my favorite artists in Israel. Check him out!
