Shabbat & Holiday Celebrations
Shabbat at Tulane Hillel
Please join us each Friday as we welcome Shabbat together as a community. Optional services begin at 6:30pm upstairs at 912 Broadway St (The Mintz Center). After, dinner will take place in the Rimon Restaurant dining room, where you’ll have a free and delicious (and kosher) meal with friends. All are welcome! Shabbat dinners at Hillel are proudly sponsored by the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust.
High Holidays
It can be hard to be away from home for the High Holidays, so let Tulane Hillel be your home away from home! We provide both Conservative and Reform services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, as well as delicious holiday meals catered by our very own Chef Dan at Rimon.
Experience the richness of the High Holidays with Tulane Hillel. Join us for inspiring services, community meals, and joyful gatherings. Embrace moments of reflection, forge meaningful connections, and celebrate the traditions that unite us. Open to all, Tulane Hillel invites you to make the High Holidays a time of growth, connection, and celebration.

Holiday Celebrations
Throughout the year, we celebrate holidays such as Chanukah in the fall semester and Purim in the spring semester. With holiday-themed decor, food, and unique perspectives on tradition, join us for celebrations and to schmooze with your peers!
Here at Tulane Hillel, we celebrate the timeless traditions and values that define our Jewish heritage during festive occasions like Sukkot, Purim, Passover, and Hanukkah. Students experience the warmth of community as we gather under the stars in our beautifully decorated sukkah, dress in costumes and revel in the lively atmosphere of Purim, partake in interactive seders and savor the taste of matzah during Passover, and kindle the lights and celebrate the spirit of miracles during Hanukkah and more!
But our offerings extend beyond these cherished holidays, as our student leaders curate engaging programs for other special occasions as well. From the excitement of Mardi Gras to the environmental awareness of Earth Day, Tulane Hillel embraces a diverse range of celebrations that bring our community together in meaningful and joyous ways.
