Abbie Mintz is a creator, storyteller, and lover of Jewish ritual and tradition. A California native, she grew up in Santa Barbara, moved to the Bay Area to complete a degree in English Literature at UC Berkeley, and graduated in the Class of 2026 (Go Bears!). As a Springboard Fellow at Tulane Hillel, Abbie helps to foster a warm and welcoming environment, and create meaningful experiences for the Tulane Hillel community.
As a student, Abbie spent much of her free time at Berkeley Hillel, and served as Shabbat Chair during her last year of undergrad. During her time as Shabbat Chair, Abbie helped craft a Shabbat experience that brought student leadership and initiative to the forefront, and discovered her passion for Jewish leadership and building community.
Abbie is a lifelong camper and counselor at Camp Alonim and Camp Haverim, where her summers were split as a camper. Other work experience includes coaching gymnastics, CrossFit, and trapeze. During her free time, Abbie loves reading, spending time in the great outdoors, and picking up new hobbies. And, she’s really excited to explore what life has to offer here in NOLA!
