Gertrude, or Gertie to her friends, is the official office (and unofficial therapy) dog of Tulane Hillel. Known for her shaggy hair and playful personality, she’s a very good girl. Always on the lookout for treats, she loves snuggling, sneaking into classes, charming students with her friendly nature, welcoming visitors to the Mintz Center, taking walks around campus, and getting all the pets she can. Gertie takes her role seriously, regularly checking in on students during study sessions and bringing a sense of calm and joy to the building. Her playful antics and warm presence have made her a beloved member of the Tulane Hillel team, where she’s always ready to brighten someone’s day.
